The players and coaching staff took time out from training on Tuesday night to catch up with Anthony McMahon and his parents and receive an update on his progress from life changing surgery in the US. It also gave us the opportunity to present him with a cheque for £6,500, which will go towards the next stage of his treatment and an Ormer FC shirt.
Ormer FC managed to raise £13,000 in 21 days via there rain jacket sponsor raffle, which was won by Drains World. The proceeds of the raffle were split between the club and Anthony.
Everyone associated with Ormer FC wish Anthony the best of luck as he shortly begins the next stage of surgery in the US. Hopefully on his return and after a substantial period of rehabilitation he will pull on the blue & white of Ormer FC and join the squad for a training session.
