Sports Commission Fun Day

Hundreds of islanders enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a dazzling array of sports at the KGV sports ground on Saturday afternoon. Ormer FC did their part to promote the game of football in an event generously sponsored by Generali, as the ladies team joined ranks with the youth team to offer a range of football related activities, including penalty shoot out, free kick sessions, a test of accuracy in the mini goal and a chance to play along side the Ormer boys.

A great day of sport, smiling faces and a huge amount of talent on show. Enjoy the photos.

Alice Davis, the Ormer ladies keeper struggles to keep out this shot. If only Ronaldo was this accurate.

Concentration is paramount in any sport!

This looks like a GFC regular trying his luck. Normally he's found between the sticks!

A keenly contested midfield battle

Sometimes the pressure in a penalty shoot out is too much for team mates to handle!

Under the watchful eye of Nor, players test their nerve in the penalty shoot out.

Guernsey talent on show throughout the day

If your not sure blast it down the middle.

Which side shall I put this one?

Even some of the dads stepped up to show how it was done back in the day. Not sure about the technique though Rob.

Is that the Haka taking place in the background?

Great technique! I'm sure he could teach his dad a few things!
